Aashton...I was thinking the same thing! I have the volulme turned up and it is actually very soothing/lulling for me.
Lynsee...doing great, hon! Get your rest while you can so you have the strength to push. Hugs to you and Anders!!

Also when allowed to progress naturally, your body will give you an amazing burst of energy for pushing.. my body did most of the pushing for me. When I hit transition I was so exhausted and begging (who, Im not sure) to sleep, to rest.. started shaking, started vomitting, then pushed my baby out.
I think what matters most is what's best for her. When you're sooooo completely exhausted and tired that you feel you can't go any longer, when do you rest before pushing?? I had an epi with mine, and the pushing part COMPLETELY wore me out in itself! She's doing an awesome job, and she'll be loving that epi when she's pushing. YOU GO GIRL!!! ;-)
Natural birth is a delicate dance of checks and balances and its very easy to disrupt it if you don't know what you're looking for or what you need.
